Find Your Passion

Live your life….

In my last blog I told you to take one step toward living a life of passion – how many of you actually did?  What did you do to start it, and did you continue with moving toward your goal or did you just take the one step?  Either way I am proud of you!  When I first started my business, I made a list of the goals I had for my life – what I wanted to be able to provide for my family, what kind of life I wanted to live, the things I wanted to have, etc.  The next step to living your life of passion is to make that list for yourself.  You can’t achieve goals if you don’t know what they are.  List them out and post them somewhere that you will see every day, and make sure to put the list in order of most important to you.

When you start out on this journey to living the life of your dreams, I want you to always keep one thing in the back of your mind – you CAN do this.  Don’t quit if you hit snags, take those snags and turn them into lessons.  Every day of our lives are lessons that we should learn from, so it is no different with this.  You take the strike outs and you turn them into positive moments.  If you don’t, you will for sure get easily discouraged, and give up.  If you do that, you will not meet your goal of living the life of your dreams, so stay positive.

One of my goals was to be able to travel whenever I wanted to, and to spend a lot of time with my daughter and really be there for her growing up.  I am not going to lie, when you own your own business, whether it’s just you or whether you have employees, you have a great amount of responsibility on your hands, and you WILL work a lot more than you think.  For me, the first 5 years was 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and sometimes I still work that much, so I missed out on a lot of the fun stuff with my daughter for the first 5 years, but I made it to the point that the business runs itself and people are there to handle things when I am gone, so now I get to make up for it.  They say that if you love what you do, then going to work everyday is no longer work – I completely agree with this, as I absolutely love what I do, and even if I had to work 20 hours a day, I would still be the happiest person alive, because I am doing what I love, and I love what I do.

So, next task is to make a list of your goals, try to put at least 3-5 on that list….
